Won't matter with the current attitude of the players and the cluelessness of the coach. Trent's wife could play 5/8 for us and the result would still be the same.

I think Hutchison is an interesting exercise. He's the closest we have to an organising half but very low tier, I thought when he played there with Walker he did a good job off taking the pressure off Walker and just letting him play, he could do similar to Teddy & Keary..

        Manu is no half period.
Hutch is a significant upgrade on Manu at 6. Nothing flash, but solid. Luke Keary is so far off the pace this year it’s not funny. If we are dropping players on form, he should have gone well before Walker. I’d drop Keary to reserves to develop his game, promote S Smith to 6 with Hutch at 7. It couldn’t possibly be worse than what we are currently dishing up. Who knows, the opportunity might be the making of Smith, then we don’t need to go to market shortly to replace Keary.

Any team that has the Handbrake as there best starting option at 5/8th is well and truely rooted. Merge will lap our mob of headless chooks.

I’m not a fan of Hutch, but he will do a better job than Manu at 6!

              Indeed.
We beat the Dragons on Anzac with some good tries, then went to sleep.
Suli and Moga etc then ran riot down our left side...and there was 30 cm too long in a grubber at the end of the game that stopped Dragons from scoring a winning try.
Near enough is not good enough, so we won.
Keary ran, Teddy ran, Radley ran.
Difficult to run at the line and score tries ...when you don't have the ball because you keep dropping it and virtually saying to the other team:
"We don't want it...here, you have another turn".

Hutch, Keary should be a better combination than Manu Keary. The outside backs may get the ball.

If Manu wasn't injured I had also thought a positional swap with Teddy . Joey goes alright at fullback , but this is the sort of stuff that usually happens in trial matches.

I'd play Keary at 5/8 , Cheese at half and Turpin hooker.
anything to keep the Handbrake out of the 17.

The Hutchinator is Da Man for the 5/8 role.

I look forward to seeing the temper tantrums from the cot/pram toy tossers when the team list comes out on Tuesday if Drew "The Hutchinator" Hutchison in named as 5/8.

No issue here; that’s a sensible position for him.

We haven’t played well since the first half against the dragons. That seems so long ago now

We have enough forward depth to move Radley to 5/8...has a good passing game and is often the link with passes out the back.. then Brendon to lock and Turpin to 9.

Not the worst suggestion I've heard..... that one involves the Handbrake.
I suggested something similar, but with keary back in his right position at 5/8, Turpin at his right position at hooker, and Cheese at half.

Sandon Smith is killing it in reserve grade, its time to give him a run in firsts and see how he goes this allows Keary to move back to his natural 5/8 spot, the kids got to step up one day he has the makings of a top halfback.I reckon he will go really well but.
