robbo wasn't a part of manly's decision to wear the pride jersey so you can't pin that one on him. we happened to be playing manly that week and not unreasonably he was asked questions about the issue so it's not as if his comments were unsolicited. as much as there are a few on here who didn't like his comments there were a few who did.
but in reply to this thread's claim that his woke comments are costing the team, the results that week and for the rest of the regular season tell a different story. we won 6 straight. if you're going to argue that robbo's woke comments on the rainbow jersey affected the team's performance there's a better case that they affected them in a good way.
but of course the idea that they affected the team either way is stupid

Well said Zac. You make a very good point. If the players were going to spit the dummy over the rainbow comments they would have done it last year straight after the comments not wait till this year.

the other parts of your argument aren't worth a pile of poop either. yeah, maybe robbo could have criticised the refs after the loss to souths in the semi but his style has always been not to go after refs. if the players lost confidence in him cos of that - which you proclaim so confidently without much evidence it seems to me - then they should talk to robbo about it, get it off their chests and play better.

The way Robbo jumped on the “ do not boo Fattrell “ rubbed me the wrong way however his non support for the way his players were bashed ( illegally ) in the semis left me scratching my head. As an individual I would expect better support from work colleagues and bosses, especially after how Fattrell behaved towards Manu after smashing his face the previous year.
If the players didn’t, internally, question Robbo’s support for them then they’re devoid of reality. In their place I’d be asking myself, why is our coach throwing us under the bus and not calling out the thugs and officials? Why jump to defend Fattrell feelings after being booed yet doesn’t call him out for his behaviour in the previous year?

Rainbow Robbo seems to be putting politics above football....politics divides as we clearly seen cancel culture cancelling Manly's season. I could be us next..

In football the extra 1 percent effort matters, decides premierships. Same go for the coach...needs to put 100% into the team and not dividing politics and woke agendas.
