Ryles is no fool. He’s going to wait until the right head coaching job comes up instead of jumping at the first cab off the rank. look how many gigs Fitzy was offered prior to finally taking the sharks role. Your first job as a head coach can destroy your career if you agree to go to a dud side.

More of a compliment to Coach Robinson role in mentoring his assistants that other clubs want to sign them.

The anti Coach Robinson crowd will always find a different angle though even when there are none.

Your First Head Coaching role needs to be the right fit as if you fail then not many if any clubs will chasing you to be head coach.

The Dragons suffer from the same affliction as the Wests Tigers do as a merged entity too Kogarah Centric - Wests Tigers too Ashfield and Leichardt centric

Scant regard to the Illawarra/South Coast juniors and more focused on the dwindling St George Juniors who all play for St George Dragon Junior teams in the expanding Cronulla Sutherland Sharks Junior Comps.

Wests Tigers also pay scant regard to their Macarthur Juniors as well.

Both could be Penrith like in churning out juniors like a factory production line.

when we signed ryles we specifically said you will be with us for the full length of your contract so he doesn't have anything to complain about. robbo says he'll never stand in the way of an assistant coach leaving for a top job but sounds like nick was unimpressed. fair enough

Sounds to me like Nick / Robbo knew all along he was trying to get the Storm job despite his assurances he would fulfil his 3 year contract and called him out on it, asking him to leave. Meanwhile St George and the media thought he was actually going to the merge. This reflects even more badly on him as he appears to have been stringing the Merge along as well.

Wow, take a deep breath. Smith was coach in 2010. The merge won the GF that year sadly. I think you are letting your pure hatred of Robbo colour your opinion. Why such hate and vitriol! It’s a game of football. He hasn’t murdered or abused anyone. So much hate.
