Really?? It's just some of the irrelevant ridiculous rubbish written here in the last few weeks

You flea hearts deserve a couple of decades of rubbish teams, changing coaches every 3 years, losing rep players to other clubs and replacing them with duds- it's the only way you may appreciate what you got.

Here's a great tip- if your really unsatisfied with the Roosters set up and have no faith in the clubs managerial and coaching decisions going forward then just go and support someone else- The Dolphins would be a good start because you can blow smoke up Bennetts arse about all the premierships he has won in the last decade.

Not to be that guy but having been a fan since 1978, I've seen the transit lounge, the lean years and the successful times (technically you could say since 1997 when the Roosters got to the Semis for the first time in years) so I feel I have the right to say what I think.

Whoever said that the Roosters won in 2018/19 because of their defence which has now been negated because V'Landys turned Rugba League into touch football with the six agains was correct.

I suspect most of the fans having meltdowns are younger people.

People who, if they are under the age of 20-25, possibly have never experienced a Roosters team that isn't finishing top 4 or 5 (if not winning the comp). Because that exactly how it has been the past 10 years. Possibly a lot of people that became Roosters fans during the Robbo glory period who dont know anything else (they missed the unravelling of Stuart, the embarrasment of Chris Anderson, the horror of Fittler, the bi-polarity of the BSmith years, and yes...the dark dark days prior to Gould.

I'm old enough to remember the days before Gould.

Let me tell you, we are one of the luckiest (if not the luckiest) fan base in the damn comp.

- beautiful stadium, best in the comp arguably
- generous, admired, tough but humble benefactor...who has helped to provide a secure future for us.
- a laundry list of some of greatest NRL players of the past 20 years to have graced our club
- alongside Bennett, we have Robbo... one of the two best man managers in the game at the helm.
- a culture which continually attracts top players and top staff.
- the boast of the oldest continually running NRL club. Yep, we are the oldest running club in the entire damn comp.
- we're 5 from 10 so far this year. Sure, i's not great, but hardly a tragedy, especially at this stage of the season.

This is not the time to upset the apple cart. Sure, we are going thorough a down period. It's the tough who don't lose their heads and can see things rationally, and for what it is: a patch of poor form aligned with a transition period. (potentially, with a couple of players who probably weren't the most astute signings in retrospect..although i'm trying to keep my mind open).

So mediocrity’s the standard, and any success is just a bonus that we should consider a blessing, like scraps that fall from master robbos table, we should just eat up shut up and be thankful. If you have and want to maintain high standards by criticising the rainbow one, means you’re a troll, a souths fan or a millennial. get out of here with that bullshit. I agree it was lean yrs until freddy in 96, and he deserves a marble statue in the style of David at roosters hq, but even he was shown the door. He didn’t have the roster that lord lavender has, and if nate myles didn’t suffer from IBS and big willie with the sniffles for most of the season things would’ve been different.

We've come a long way since the 90's transit lounge days & have better standards & processes these days.

With a very decent roster, high profile coach, & a new centre of excellence in place how about we start playing like a half decent team that shows it's fans it will always have a crack & give itself a chance when they play instead of capitulation & boring ass play.

Ah yes us long term roosters fans certainly never used to complain about how shit we were from 2005-2012, and we took every season in the 80s and 90s with silent dignity, happily accepting all losses with a smile. Oh how we’d laugh whenever the transit lounge made yet another signing! It was sunshine and lollipops all year round back then….

I can cop poor performances if we have an ordinary roster or a bunch of injuries/suspensions.

I think a vent is warranted when we have a team that should be challenging for the comp severely underperforming..

I’m an old bastard too and was pissed with what the club and players dished up for much of the 80s and 90s, I just didn’t have a forum to vent on. Ironically, some of those teams had half the talent the current one does, but had twice the heart. We should be performing better; full stop. Just because some of us find the current level of performance underwhelming, it doesn’t make us lesser supporters than those that live in a world of lollipops, rainbows and unicorns and think it’s ok to be shit.
