It’s a hard one, he has had 10 great years but this does not automatically mean it will continue. My discontent is due to no improvement in the fundamentals over many years; handling errors, discipline, picking players out of position . We could get away with these before they bought in the 6again law. This to me comes down to coaching not personal. As for the next question about a future coach, it’s easy to shoot a name down. What would you have said about Andrew Webster being appointed the Warriors coach. There is no knowing how someone will go?
Robbo is a great coach but he needs to improve, if he does’t will be gone by the end of next season.

didn't Bennett win 92,93, 97SL, 98 and 2000 ?
not that I care, or the comparisons make any difference
but you brought it up like you mean Robbo is better than Bennett or Bellamy.
Different teams etc, probably can't be compared.
I've said before I think Robertson is an average coach who has had less than expected success with great rosters.
I think his message has gotten old, and some of his decisions have been delusional.
I think the roster now is confused and not producing their optimum performances.
Anything less than top 4 is a failure for us, we were the bookies favourites to start the season, now we are roughies.
In reality we are no chance of winning the comp or making the top 4 this year.
Not because of injury, because of poor coaching decisions.Last edited by NorfolkStreetKid; 05-17-2023, 05:43 PM.

There was a difference with the 2013,18 719 teams they were really well-balanced teams and you could see they had that winning edge about them you could feel it . On grand final day one of the mouths down at the pub who is a mad storm supporter was cracking jokes about sombreros etc the same old shit we cop as easts supporters every year anyway he mouths off I've got a thousand bucks to say the storm wins, i just looked at him and said even money no start you're on. It was all over at half time. Hes never mouthed off about the chooks since. I had a great day shouted all the boys' beers last i saw of old mate that day he booted the garbage bin outside the Seaview Pub on his way to the cab rank. You just knew those teams were winners. Manly thought they had us at half time but the boys just lifted in the 2nd half and put them away.
I just don't see it with this current squad. hope I'm wrong.

BMoz, Lats, Cronk, Cordner, Friend, SST, Aubs...and that team had to fight within an inch of its life to win that comp.
No one can seriously say we've replaced like for like since then. I honestly don't know why people say we have the best roster in the game. I've never believed it and it's been proven time and again the last 3-4 years.

So basically ... Cleary and his son have potential as a package deal in the future (highly unlikely). Fitzy is liked but unavailable. Slater might make a good first grade coach. I've mentioned before Cronk may have potential as a first grade coach as well. In summary there are guys who are totally unavailable and another pair that have zero first grade experience as a coach.
My question is what is with all of these news accounts or accounts that have not been active suddenly saying it is time for Robbo to go?
