I would then drop him, not to work on his game but because he isn’t good enough for first grade but that wasnt the case.

I said reserve grade is not what it used to be, meaning dropping a player back there to work on their game no longer works.
You asked if he played poorly for 8 games in a row - I would drop him as he isn’t good enough to play 1st’s but Walker has never played 8 games in a row poorly.
