For those saying he needed to go to reserve grade to work on his game what a load of shite. It’s not the 80’s and 90’s anymore, the game has changed and reserve grade ain’t what it used to be.

Playing in reserve grade isn’t going to help your combinations with Teddy, Kez and the rest of the team. It just puts the team in jeopardy and loses cohesion.

    Dumb decision.
What would you do with Walker if we lost 8 straight games and his form was poor?

Not really a Robbo basher but I can't understand why positional decisions aren't decided in the off-season?

Robbo treats the regular season as a trail for the Finals, on the assumption that we'll make them.

Not only is that a gamble - say, we fail to make the finals - but it also means the regular season, ie most of the footy, is hard to watch for us fans.

Playing for Premierships is one thing, but I'd love to win 9 on the trot in May-June for once. That's also a good feeling,

Don't disagree but wonder if there's other shit going down within the side.

There probably is, but we won’t ever know

Robinson drops the only creative player we have and since we have been shite. No surprises here.

You are a facts man and even you surely agree the stats don’t lie since Walker was dropped, we haven’t scored a point in the last 3 first halves. We have the 2nd worst attack in the comp and most of that has stemmed since Walker was dropped.

It’s no coincidence. If you don’t believe me why don’t you Google it champ
Well they didn't score any points in the second half of Walkers last 2 games vs Storm and Sharks

Walkers passes to run ratio ballooned to 6 - i.e 1 run for every 6 passes- Running halves should be around 2 and 3 max - Noticeably lost confidence in that part of his game.

Happy Days for the opposition D in knowing that a player will mainly pass the ball and not run the ball as they then concentrate their D on players he will passing the ball too.

Different scenario if he was running the ball as then all 3 ( running / passing and even kicking) come into play putting doubt into the D's mind of what he will do when he has the ball.

The extra D wasn't helping but you can't hide someone in D and as a running half he still needs to produce in offense

Walker really needs to bulk up as they say as playing at 78 kg's is what Steve Mortimer played at back in the 1970's/1980's - 86 to 92 kgs is the weight range for NRL halves.

The opposite for Brandon Smith who plays at 94 kg' s - his contemporaries play at between 86 to 88 kg's - he needs to shed kg's if he wants to be a long game minutes dummy half.

I am most likely one of the few but I am backing the Roosters to get their season back on track - No raising the white flag from me like others on here have done which of course coincides with turning on the players and now coaching staff.

Agreed. Win those 9 early on and the recover for the late season instead of leaving it late and playing busted when it counts.

Would you have walker back in the team when he is fit king? does he still have some learning to do in reserves, considering he has only played in two losing matches there, Or will he end up playing another month in reserve grade?

We'll be right once Manu, Walker, and Tupou are all back in the side but geez that game in two weeks' time vs Bulldogs is massive for us.
Sam may well have lost us that game so how about fairness and consistency from the coach by dropping other under performing players.
Sitili Flipper Hands was erroneous AGAIN and N Butcher needs to learn to play the ball in reggies.

Doesn’t seem to exist with the Master Coach mate,it’s clear he plays favourites..

Also his treatment of Sam has come back to bite him on the ass!

                        3 - Dolphins

A season high of 12 runs vs Dolphins dropping to 4 vs Sharks - even admitted himself his form had dropped from earlier in the season. - Increase workload in D a concern going forward as is his size

One has to also consider that Walker hasn't played since 30th April too in considering him for selection in the stating side

I think they have more pressing concerns post game with 3 players on report - Radley/Collins/Brown plus Brandon Smith has a suspected fractured thumb - 3 to 6 weeks recovery time

Players returning round 14 - Daniel Tupou / Jarryd Waerea Hargreaves / Joseph Manu / Sam Walker

Round 14 vs Bulldogs a Sunday game - 4th June - SOO 31st May - Will the players selected back up if fit to do so.

A lot of unknowns in selecting the 22 player squad for round 14.

Sorry, I meant he has only played two games of reserve grade, both resulting in losses. If he was sent there to learn, I can’t see how Robinson could justify bringing him back into first grade, without more game time in reserves.

Dropping Walker was a stupid decision, even if he was making mistakes, he needed to be COACHED, not dropped.
That decision, lead to moving Manu and Keary
                            which lead to clunky connection,
also lead to the Handbrake getting more game time, which is always bad.
I think it was the catalyst to unsettling players, getting them to look at blaming each other and not themselves.
Combined with his persistence with the failed Suaalii experiment, and his infatuation with the Handbrake,
                            Robinson has lost the plot.

Robbo should go as a package with Ryles,on Monday morning....bring Aubs or Mini as assistant coach and get Hasler.....good sign from last night, we showed glimpses of our attack 2nd to none...we're not to be written off yet as long as JS wing,Manu centre,Walker back.

The difference is Walker lost us that game with recklessness. The blatant strip when we were down a man and Sharks still had their challenge. The intercept pass on our halfway line when we were not in a scoring position. These are different to players dropping a slippery ball.

Walker needs to grow up and start managing the game. Field position and possession. Higher risk plays need to be calculated. Some people were upset with Walker for throwing the ball over the sideline on 2nd tackle in that same game. I doubt Robbo would have been upset with that incident because the try was on. It was a calculated risk.
