  • NYC best possible side ?

Looks like we have very stong squad which allows Taylor to rest players during the normal competition rounds.
I'll like to nominate our top 17 to play the finals.

    1 RTS
    2 O'Sullivan
    3 Rona
    4 Forrester
    5 Rokolati
    6 Langi
    7 Jacks
    8 Napa
    9 Blackman
    10 Evans
    11 Togitasi
    12 Bernstrom
    13 Martin
    14 Vunipola
    15 Siejka
    16 Noble
    17 Moore

I have made the assumption both Mcgrady and Tago are finished for the season. If they would be available they would push Vunipola and Moore out of the top 17, Mcgrady to replace Langi pushing him back to the bench.

Does anyone know what happened to Wells?

Stats say he played but I saw him outside the game with Adam Henry about half an hour before FG kick off. Assuming he picked up an injury, seemed to be walking just fine though...

Adam Brent coming back this week is a big boost too.

Wells tore a pec (or it was some kind of serious arm injury) a few matches into the season, that's when RTS got moved to fullback.

Our best 20s side would also contain Moga and Cordner.

Yeh I know that but his name was on the team sheet on Sunday. I couldn't get to the game in time for the 20's so no idea if he actually played or not.

His younger brother Dallas Wells played on Sunday.

If everyone that was contracted to the Roosters at some stage this year and eligible for 20's still was available this would be the best side I reckon.

                1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
                2. Paul Rokolati
                3. Tau Tau Moga
                4. Curtis Rona
                5. Henare Wells
                6. Corey McGrady
                7. Ryley Jacks
                8. Dylan Napa
                9. Dean Blackman
                10. Kane Evans
                11. Tuiala Togitasi
                12. Boyd Cordner
                13. Dane Atkinson

                14. Rhyse Martin
                15. Brandon Tago
                16. Lloyd Perrett
                17. Samisoni Langi

Now that is one ridiculously formidable 20's side. And to think only 7 of those players played on the weekend, pretty good effort, even against a lowly Manly side.

Yes I agree with you Yak but unfortuntely with 9 rounds remaining the NYC team will be pulled apart with 4 players heading to Newtown Jets to join Naper, they are Evans, Martin, Blackman & Rona. This is a part of the clubs development policies. The club (Brian Smith)
I am led to believe..... that development is more important than semi or final footy......which is a joke, condersidering they could be contenders
to make it through the finals. History shows that in 2008 raiders played broncos in the NYC finals & now broncos are getting all the benefits
of having a young side in FG..... taking them 4 yrs in becoming a top 4 side in the NRL.
