Apparently a player must have played atleast half of his games this year in Toyota Cup to play in the finals series. So if he played say 20 games, 10 in Toyota Cup and 10 in First Grade, then he is eligible.
I'm not sure how that goes for players like Jones and Symonds and what they will do if they need to play a few more games in Toyota Cup to ensure eligibility. I assume that with the few games Jaubs played and taking suspension into consideration that Friend would still be ineligible unless he plays the remainder of the season in Toyota Cup which they won't do.
Of course we still have to make the finals though
