looks like our NYC final against the bunnies will end up being played before the Cowboys vs Broncos NRL semi on saturday night at around 5:15pm, the problem with this timeslot is that it is the only NYC final not shown live because its on the same time as the Storm vs Bunnies NRL final, there will be a replay of the match on sunday morning, spewing if we get knocked out and we don't get to see Evans/Napa/RTS run around again this season.

stupid me, the NYC ladder I was looking at on nrlstats hadn't been updated to include the dragons result today, which they won and knocked out the storm from the top 8.

So here we are again.
The opposition is different but it's down to Melbourne for the first week of the finals again for our Tiktik Boom Under 20s side as they take on arch rivals South Sydney in a knock-out Semi Final.
With the Rabbitohs NRL side playing the Storm in the first week, the young Roosters head south of the border in a replay of our first finals game last season, but this year with a more experienced squad and NYC star and captain Kane Evans is confident the result will be different.
"It is going to be a really hard game and we know it will go down to the wire. I'm pretty nervous but if we stick to our game plan we know we can get the result," Evans said.
"We just have to play simple, run hard, hold the ball and kick the ball deep and just put the pressure on them."
Everything has been taken in to consideration to ensure victory on Saturday afternoon including travel arrangements.
"Every time we travel interstate and stay in the town the night before the game we lose but when we fly to the location on the day then fly straight out we win, so we have made sure we get down to Melbourne early in the morning on game day," Evans said.
Coach Jason Taylor has named his squad to take on the Bunnies and there was one inclusion that has excited the young Roosters with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck returning to the NYC side after a successful end of season stint in the NRL.
"It is great to have Roger back, he is so explosive and we know how good his footwork is and he can change a game in an instant," he said.
"It's also a bit unfortunate though that Henare Wells had to miss out, he has been in great form for us but it a great sign of how strong the depth is in our squad."
The NYC is a different beast to the top grade in that your time is extremely limited due to the age cap, and as a result wholesale changes every year mean players are separated from their mates that they have grown close to over a couple of seasons together.
"Man I don't even want to talk about not being with the boys anymore," Evans said with obvious despair.
"I'm just not going to let it happen this weekend. We want to win our next four so we can stick together just a bit longer."
Hearing such passion and mateship it almost makes you want to throw on a jersey yourself.
As for our opponents the South Sydney Rabbitohs, we know there is a huge rivalry at NRL level but does that extend to the younger boys in the club?
"Absolutely," Evans said.
"If anything I would say it is even more serious with us because we are younger and being in the same area it extends to on and off the field.
"I'm friends with some of them but not during the footy season at all that's for sure."
Evans has been in devastating form for the 20s and Newtown Jets all season, terrorising defences with his aggressive running style and last week was no exception when he dominated the Minor Premiership-winning Bulldogs defence with a hat-trick at ANZ Stadium.
"I'm pretty happy with my running game but I am working really hard on my defence and making sure I sort it out."
There are two things you can be sure will happen at AAMI Park this Saturday afternoon.
Firstly, as he has all season, Evans will lead all the boys out down the tunnel at AAMI park with screams of "Tiktik Boom", their usual pre-match gee-up.
Secondly, regardless of the result you will be getting a first-hand look at the next generation of Roosters stars.
