NYC Squad for 2013

Not sure if Alex T is training at Hooker, but I do know that he has made a bit of success at that with the Roosters in the past.
I'd back him to do a good job. Brad Deitz while training with the U20s is still playing SG Ball.

Louis Meehan is contracted to the Roosters next season. This is fact.
I haven't seen him or his brother play but if their size and attitude count for anything, they could be very strong players.
Willis who is a centre has just turned 17 and is an absolute giant.

Yeah he's highly rated 13 my friends son played NSW U/18's with him they played against a pommy academy year this year he scored 2 tries probably can throw them like his dad who's a pro boxer.

Yep boys these are definitely old profiles and i would imagine he is still with us. I doubt the club would let him go given our shortage of wingers. Huge talent imho.

What gives you that impression mate? I thought we got him from the Cowboys junior system. Would be a shame if he has moved on because I rated him highly. Very fast, tall, reasonable defender, and seemed like a good kid. On the shortage of wingers point that you bring up, I feel like the club have a lot of faith in the talents of Usaia O'Sullivan and Paul Rokolati. I think Rocket in particular may get a go on the wing in first grade at some stage and really impress. He's a supreme finisher and doesn't shirk his share of the work.

Checked the titans forum yak and all discusions point to the fact that he left. They were even complaining to david may that the nyc profiles were so out of date.

Also i dont rate the other guys you mentioned. They havent really stood out in nyc. My honest opinion is that nene will leapfrog both of them into first grade.

That's great news then!! Must just be a Townsville junior and that's where I'm getting confused.

Yeah fair enough, maybe i haven't seen enough of Nene. He certainly has the attributes to be a better winger than the other two. I'm just a big fan of Rokolati's work ethic and tackle breaking and finishing ability. I also think he's pretty solid in defence for an NYC winger. He saved a lot of certain tries last year and late 2011. Would be good to see him add 6-8 kgs though cos he a bit slender for firsts.

Farian is correct. Must be old profiles because Nene is still pre-season training with us

Sadly but typical, Roosters marketing continue to treat fans with contempt because those profiles are 2012 & more than half of them will not feature in 2013 for e.g Bernstrom, Jacks, Henare Wells, Rona, Forrester, Taripo etc...
2013 new signings include Jokotama, Tyler Cornish, Mitch Mammary & Jack Goodsall.

Strangely they've gone to the trouble of changing the competition sponsor from Toyota Cup to Holden Cup but that's about it.
I keep checking www.actionphoto.com.au every few days but no listing there either. Most other clubs have finalised their U20's squad.
I'm guessing that we have more players to cull from our large squad & cannot provide final details for publishing yet. I suppose we'll get a better idea at the Foundation Cup game on Feb 23.
Really looking forward to Feb 23. Newtown @ 3pm followed by NYC & then NRL. ALL 3 GRADES
