How's Milne developing Gman? I didn't get to many Ball games last year so didn't see much of him. Looks to have great footwork and strength but not a great deal in the speed department, which might become a problem if he starts pushing for first grade down the track when there might only be wing spots available. Seems a talent though.

Also, do you rate either of those halves? Ashby doesn't seem like the creative type to me.

surprised to see Sonni Tasi didn't make the final SG Ball squad, he had some decent wraps on him

will be interested to hear how Piki Rogers goes, the club are flying him over from NZ each weekend for the SG Ball matches.

Taan made the Aust Schoolboys U18's team last year with Willis Meehan & Brad Deitz. We may get to see more of him in the U20's later on after SG Ball.

The jury is still out Ashby. Their 5/8 Danny Allende is an unwanted Souffs jnr who goes ok.

Both grades got smashed, no surprise up against the mighty Parra juniors though.

I thought the matts boys were right in the game until about 10 to go. Then a combination of poor ball security, and some tough penalties saw parra skip away. Plenty to like though, and some great individual performances. As for the ball side, very very disappointing.

I don't think Taane made any RL schoolboy sides last year. But he was in the Australian "A" Schoolboy RU side.
He is the goods and I hope he goes all the way. def very strong, speed OK, but reads the game very well and can make something out of noting.

Surprised hearing the SG Ball result, I expect them to do OK this year. I guess it depends who they played (positionally).
The Matts sounds good, especially considering last year.

The Matts fullback, Chris THOMAS is one to watch. Didnt have too much to do yesterday, but all was done with class. Has great hands, pretty quick, as was evident with his 60 metre try, and can tackle as good as any.

Anyone know if there are any genuine locals in these sides? I know Milne is, but not sure on any others.

Taane and Junior Ware.
Junior while strictly not a local, he has come down from PNG, he has played for Clovelly for a year or 2.

good win by HM today over the steelers 20-8

more concerning though was the 20-12 loss by the SG Ball boys, there is a fair bit of talent in this team, I still have big doubt over Riddell as a coach.

Yak whats the name of the young bloke who shows some real tough aggression, I think you named him before in 1 of your post but I cant find it. Im thinking he may be a backrower?
