Yeah I agree. He's certainly quicker than I first thought so down the track could be a good wing option for first grade if Moga and Jennings develop as the centre pairing. His tackling technique looks great too. Hits hard with the shoulder. Moga was the same in 20s. Very strong technique and got into trouble a few times because his timing was so good and he was so strong the player he was tackling would get into a dangerous position. Milne missed a couple of tackles the other night that looked a bit lazy but I strongly believe that if the technique is there then a good coach and good system will make that player a good defender. Look at Maloney and Jennings for example. Jennings looked very brittle when he was at penrith and maloney had the most missed tackles in the comp. There was an interview with Robinson after we beat to Titans to make the GF in 2010 and he mentioned that he'd finally seen them start to execute the defensive structure he had been trying to put in place all year. As soon as TR left it fell to sh!t cos the players didn't buy into what Smith was preaching to them for whatever reason. Maybe he was preaching garbage and the players knew that. What has eventuated this year seems like evidence enough for me.

Is Taane still only 17? It's a shame they don't have a better halfback to guide the 20s because if they did I think they'd one of the favourites to win it. Plenty of potential future first graders there in Milne, MacDonald, Langi, Tago, Martin and the Meehan boys.

      Taane is 18 I believe.

Agree re. The defence. That miss I mention had plenty of intent, just wasn't executed. Experience and good coaching will help that.

Taane is turning 18 later this year.
He def has what it takes, physically and mentally.

I think there is a chance that the hype about Moga will disappear and nothing will become of him. I hope not, but he didn't set the world on fire last year and his offseason was incredibly ordinary

Keep an eye out for Ryan Williamson or Forrester they are both pretty good.

What's happened to Clarrie Moore this year?

Assume he's injured? He was named in an emerging blues squad from memory and was looking forward to see how he'd go this year.

I have watched quite a few 20s game s this year

LANGI is a standout and could play 1sts now NO12 Rhys Martin I think has ability and the right centre goes well. The restso far havent done anything to impress me as far as being 1st grade candidates

Really? What happened there? He's still listed in the HC profiles and as I said he was named in the emerging Origin side.

We send some of our boys back there if they are not selected. The coach used to work as a sponsorship guy for us

As Horry pointed out he's just resumed playing after double shoulder surgery in the off season.

                        Thanks guys.

Another question sorry...what do you know about Will Patterson? Fullback for Souffs 20's, but another Cloey junior. Anyone know why he's not with us?

I have been told Will P, didn't commit to the HM and SG ball programs with the Roosters and concentrated on school rugby.
Hence the view, well if you don't want to put in the effort with our program we aint waiting for you

                              And fair enough too....shame though.

                              Thanks for the info.

Heard someone also say that Milne is finished with 20's now as he has to concentrate on school Union...bugger that I say.

Heard he slayed 'em the other day.

Only caught the last 20 minutes or so of the 20's this week, for those who watched it how did Mamary go?

His stats looked pretty decent, but so did all of the forwards...
