    They updated the stats after the game. Not as bad as once perceived, during the match they must have got Linnett mixed up with Whare a few times.

    Linnett = 12 runs for 83 metres, 28 tackles for 4 missed, 2 errors

    Whare = 7 runs for 66 metres, 11 tackles for 7 missed, 1 error, 1 linebreak

        He looks tall, pretty strong upper-body sort of player, probably doesn't have the raw power of Williamson, but seems to be a smarter player.

        I think one of these two will be a long-term centre for us.

            Typical of some rooster fans. The kid has a bad game and the taunts start , He is shit, OMG Myth myth myth, burn O'sullivan at the stake, Blah blah blah.

            Bugger off and get some HRT or somthing.

              I am glad we signed Linnett. What sets him apart from some of the more explosive tackle-breaking power centres in the NYC, like Siuatonga Likiliki (Warriors), Rusty Bristow (Warriors), Moses Pangai (Cowboys), Byron Fruean (Knights), Willie Tupou (Broncos), Sam Joe (Storm) and Pita Maile (Storm), is that Linnett doesn't simply rely on his physique to dominate. These sort of players are very large kids who in the centres can dominate the Under 20's competition, but this sort of playing style might not be anywhere near as effective in first grade. I actually know plenty of Warriors, Cowboys and Knights fans who have said these EXACT complaints about Bristow, Pangai and Fruean in particular. Very one-dimensional power players like them can't expect to jump into first grade and steamroll other more experienced players at will - it is just not going to happen. Expect a lot of these players to end up in the backrow, or maybe not even make it to first grade at all.

              The only other power centre who probably more balanced and skillful then Linnett is Daniel Vidot, from Raiders. Fast, and strapping build much like Linnett and other power centres, but actually has footwork and a good footy brain too. Not just bash and barge men. Dylan Farrell from Souths is pretty crafty too, has a lot of Justin Hodges in his physique, but has outstanding ball skills too. Williamson has the potential to be an outstanding power man, but has been injured too often.

              Then of course, you have the speedsters in the U20s, like Vaivai, Low, Davey, Ah Van, Williams, Whare and Nasso. I have seen some of these kids jet down the field, they have SERIOUS pace. But as we all know, pace isn't everything.

                I called it last week, it has nothing to do with one game nor Peter O'sullivan, don't be such a tool.

                  Stats mean shit, he was woeful!!

                  He really was as bad as once perceived. He couldn't break a tackle to save his life, I hope someones beefs him up over the off season.

                    I have seen him play a fair few times this season.

                    He is a talent, I honestly think he is. Regardless of stats, I have seen him play. He is the sort of player who doesn't power over people, he uses footwork just before the line to get in between them. He also has a knack for scoring tries, so I think he will revel running off Carney and Braith.

                                All my friends who support the Dragons (well... none of them are real fans, everyboady joins the bandwagon when they're #1) keep saying "you guys were idiots to give up Soward..."

                                I can now say "no... we kept pearce + gained a better 5/8 + Linnett... "

                                AMAZING position we're now in! Not gonna crow too early (the Dragons are still #1 on the table and could smack us) but from the spoon to top 3 with a serious chance of beating the Dragons. This is why you stick with your club!!
