The Arthur Beetson cup is played between representative sides from A Grade/A Res from the Roosters teams (Bondi Utd + Clovelly) and Balmain teams.

The eighth Arthur Beetson Cup was contested at Leichhardt Oval today with the Sydney Roosters winning a high quality game 46-22. The game was played in extreme weather conditions with the temperature nudging 30 degrees during the match. Player of the match for the Sydney Roosters was Clovelly Crocodiles five-eighth Laith Cunneen. Strong performances were also produced in the backs by Jake Jackson, Jarred Smith and Junior Varage while forwards Ngari George, Ian Kwok, James Smith and Jamie Galea played strongly.
Congratulations to coaches Craig Wright and John Dowall on the returning the Arthur Beetson Cup to the Sydney Roosters.
Scorers for the Sydney Roosters were as follows;
Tries: Junior Varage 2, Troy Redman, Issac Soper, Jake Jackson, Jarred Smith, Grant McMillan, Toby Lei
Goals: Jake Jackson 5, Grant McMillan 2
