I was talking to some people involved in the junior league today and they are very happy at the number of local kids in the HM squad but are very pissed off with the SG Ball.
Apparently there are some duds there and several of Peter Tunks players at the expense of local players that are just as good if not better. Some in that squad def got in on who you know not how you go

Ms Tee, i know you know that i know that you know people, i Think it is about time the Roosters junior clubs got together and demanded a quota system where at least 6 players from the Roosters junior clubs are selected, it is a 40 player squad FFS, if our junior clubs are any chance of survival we must show the players and parents that there is an avenue for there kids to progress, not this currently shoddy situation where our Juniors are shoved aside at the expense of joe blow who has trialled for 4 other clubs with no success

I think you will find Piki will be with the 20's next year, he is too old for SG Ball.

on the juniors I believe the Matts have 17 local juniors this year. The reason is they have a good coach in Adrian Lam and he has had them since a young age. The local clubs do plenty of whinging but really fail to the basics around coaching the kids and pushing them to play 1st division. The Matts 2 years ago had plenty of local juniors and virtually got beaten by 50 each week. Why waste their time and the clubs time and resources if they are simply not good enough. I blame the local clubs for being stuck in the 60's and 70's and allways giving bleeding heart stories when they only have themselves to blame. The NRL club gives them huge amounts of money but it is wasted and not spent on coaching etc.

Mate your ignorance is astounding. The HM mates team that got beat by 50 had very few local players 3 "real" locals I think from memory
Mostly the reason the Easts teams are not in first division is because we don't have the numbers. We have some great kids playing but you can't field a team in Div 1 if half the team is not up to it.,

You need to pull your head in and stop believing the absolute crap you posted. The Senior club pays most of the junior club's bills but doesn't give them a lot of cash. The junior clubs have some amazing coaches and the knowledge is being transferred.

The reason people are complaining about the SG Ball is that Peter Tunks has gotten into POS's ear and got 10 souths rejects in to the squad without trialling and let me tell you there are 3-4 local boys that shit on them as far as playing ability goes.

Sorry but I can't stand igorant shit posted about Easts juniors

Where does Tunks fit into the equation? And very disapointing if what you say is true.

Tunks coaches and poaches the South Eastern U17s (in 2013).
Many of his kids that failed to make the Souths Sg Ball have appeared in the Roosters Summer squad without having to trial and many are not close to the best of the local kids.
You expect local kids to miss out historically, but the clubs are working to develop the kids so the Roosters have something to choose, eg Adrian's U15s and Bondi Utds 15 yr olds playing in their U16s.

But when they get such a disgraceful slap in the face that has occurred this year with the SG Ball, it really pisses a lot of people off.

                              SG BALL:

                              MITCHELL, Latrell
                              MITCHELL, Shaq

Last weeks RLW featured these two (siblings?) photographed outside Roosters HQ with SBW. The Mole went on to describe how talented they are especially Latrell who represented NSW U16's in 2013.

I found this on youtube. I know Latrell is young and it's way too early to be making comparisons etc BUT based on this footage his playing ability reminds me of a young Inglis/Peachey. See for yourself. Good spotting POS
