Those youtube clips are quite impressive, in particular Davis' one.

Does anyone know how old they both are?

As far as i know The Jets wont be playing in Parkes in 2014 as the CRL took the credit but failed to provide any support, either financially or promotion-wise.
There are normally 2 junior league games on before the Jets/Wolves game which brings more people to the ground and obviously increases revenue. in 2013, the CRL cancelled those games. Also, the big race day was cancelled due to the rain which didn't help either. The Jets are run on the smell of an oily rag so any home game not played at Henson has a massive financial impact.
The games played at Allianz will get the Jets on TV but that means absolutely diddly squat when it comes to revenue, compared to a home game at Henson. So the notion that playing before the Roosters at Allianz is a good thing for Newtown is wrong. Also, a lot Roosters supporters probably wont want the Jets playing before Easts, as had been said on here many times.
The grant to the club by the NRL/ARLC/NSWRL is much needed and will cover a lot of the expenses but definitely not all expenses. There is a massive push this year to try to increase crowds at Henson and also increase membership to the club. 2014 has to be a big year for the club as the major benefactor to the club is unfortunately unable to provide the same level of support that they have in the past. I know the club is looking at a lot of different ideas to increase both crowds and memberships so if anyone has any ideas, no matter how crazy you think they are, PM me. Bearing in mind, most work is done by volunteers and for free.
I love my Roosters and now living in Petersham, I love my Jets too.
The relationship between the clubs is as strong as ever with both coaching staff and admin staff working well together. A lot of the other NRL clubs are definitely envious of how well the two get along.
As Rooster supporters it is good to see the boys out of the top 17 playing on a Saturday arvo with a cold can of beer in your hand. Plenty of guys on here have been and it would be great to see a lot more our there next year.

Cheers mate, I understand the circumstances, but still disappointing. The kids and I had a great day there last year and all the guys were very approachable after the game, I got a couple of great photos with Kane Evans and my 2 sons.

Kane Evans is a very humble and approachable young man who is yet to realise his potential.

Here we come, walking down the street
We get the funniest looks from everyone we meet.

                Hey, hey, we're the monkees
And people say we monkey around,
                But we're too busy singing
                To put anybody down.

You know that we want to
Do what we like to do,
The only time we get restless
                Is around something new

                Hey, hey, we're the monkees
And people say we monkey around,
                But we're too busy singing
                To put anybody down.

We're just trying to be friendly
So come and Hey, hey, we're the monkees
And people say we monkey around,
                But we're too busy singing
                To put anybody down.

Anytime or anywhere, just look over your shoulder
                Because we'll be standing there.

I would like to know from those who actually do have an idea about the game (that excludes DCkegs and jackie's fur scrotum), what you think the Newtown's best lineup will be for next season?

                  I think it will look something like this, not really sure who the fullback will be as both Macdonald and Hastings are eligible to play NYC;

                  1. N. Macdonald / J. Hastings
                  2. J. Reuben
                  3. T. Moga
                  4. R. Martin
                  5. S.S. Taukeiaho
                  6. S. Langi
                  7. R. Jacks
                  8. K. Evans
                  9. H. Le'strange
                  10. I. Liu
                  11. L. Meehan
                  12. B. Barrett / R. Verlinden / J. Siejka
                  13. D. Napa
                  14. K. Seru
                  15. K. Kara
                  16. S. Blair
                  17. S. Houma
                  18. J. Davis
                  19. D. Harris

A very strong lineup, especially when you compare some of the lineups they had last season!

Newtown finished 5th last year, so with a considerably stronger team and last season's premiers being significantly weakened with the loss of some of their good players like Townsend, Peachey and Mills, you would have to think that Newtown are a big chance of going all the way in 2014!

A few things I would like to know is whether Newtown players from last season such as Verlinden, Rokolati, Barrett and Pearn are still at the club for next season?
And have the Roosters retained players who are now too old for NYC comp next season, such as J. Siejka, M. Baker, C. Moore, B. Tago etc?

I think last year jones killed the jets and the development of a 7 and a 6.

Yeah it is disappointing RP! Not only do Jets (non Roosters fans) supporters want to be kept up to date on the latest news, but also all Roosters supporters as they are our reserve grade team. So that is two lots of supporters who are being let down.

I really want to know what their squad is going to be for this year, along with yourself I'm sure.
