After a disappointing last minute loss last weekend, the young Tricolours will go in to this Saturday's tough clash against the Eels full of energy ready to prove themselves in the early rounds of the competition.
The Eels come in to the match on the back of an emphatic 50-24 victory over the always fancied New Zealand Warriors.
Despite the loss last weekend the Roosters showed plenty of signs of a team that can produce great football in 2014. A ten minute burst of tough and well executed play saw the young side post three quick fire tries last weekend only to be beaten by a conversion after the full time siren.
If history is anything to go by we can expect another nail biter.
Both clashes between these two sides last year resulted in tough two point victories to the Tricolours.
Despite it being just round two injuries already play a part in the make up of the squad.
Centre Taane Milne has not been named due to a leg injury which sees PNG International Nene Macdonald shift from the wing into the vacated number four jersey.
His place on the wing has been taken by NYC debutant Misieli Vaikeli.
Backrower Willis Meehan has also not been named due to injury, which sees lock Jakiel Mariner move into the second row and Piki Rogers promoted from the bench to lock.
Alex Lyons and Harry Vanderhart join an extended bench.
