    Taumata On The Comeback Trail

Serial bad boy Arana Taumata is on the verge of yet another comeback to big time footy. Taumata, a loose cannon off the field but a quality player on it, is close to signing a deal with the Newtown Jets.
The Jets are the feeder team for the Sydney Roosters and if Taumata gets his life together, he could get a run with the Roosters' top side during the representative season. Still only 24, Taumata has played at the Broncos, Roosters, Bulldogs, Storm, Tigers, Cowboys and Panthers - with most of his stints ending in tears.
During his time with the Panthers, Taumata was found guilty of stealing a prescription pad from the club doctor and he finally left the club at the end of 2012, taking a break from football in a bid to get his life together.
The Kiwi-born pivot could begin his Newtown career as early as this weekend. Ironically, Taumata actually played a couple of trials with Newtown when he was at the Roosters in 2007.

            Sacked by 7 clubs?

Clearly he deserves another chance, if for no other reason that to be able to say that he was sacked by half of all teams in the NRL.

This guy got a run at Wyong last year in NSW Cup. Played only 2 games and got punted. My guess is he won't last the season.

Wasted talent. I wish him well I wonder if he still has the pace he once had

It must say something about the talent of the kid, that he's been signed by 8 different clubs in as many years.

Only 24, that's amazing. He is the same age as Pearce and came onto the scene at the same time too.

If he fires, he could be an absolute weapon.

Saying that, i expect him to last about 5 games before he finds himself out the door. Some guys just never learn.
