I like the unknown factor of the NYC recruits personally. Guys like Hargreaves, Linnett, Naughton, Takairangi, Arona, Ford, Baitieri are all coming over with fairly big wraps, but then again, Tuigamala was an NYC recruit from Penrith and did very little, whilst Foran is yet to make his mark either.
To be fair, Peters never got a fair run at Penrith, but Leaeno is admittedly a very average player. Conn isn't too flash either.

Indeed - We have lost the world beaters like:
Danny Williams
Nigel Plum
Steve Meredith
Adam Schubert
Mark Edmonston
Charlie Tonga..
People raved about these guys..
People need to understand why reserve grade was created...
Because they are never going to be good enough for first grade...

There's a group of outside backs destined to have opposition backlines worried...
Trouble is you've mentioned SKD, Morbs and Mini who's best days are over.

Personaly i think thats close to the worst backline in the nrl.
It lacks the athletisism and genuine pace of most others to be honest.
Graham was a known speedster but he has been injury prone for most of his career.
And his best days arent in front of him, although hes far from ancient.
SKD and Morbs? personaly id rather see morbs in the backrow, and although skd does have a good try scoring record, majority are from kicks and i rarely see him beat too many guys in a foot race. Does he even have a step?
Would you guys rather see smith take a punt on a young bloke like williamson?
Id consider it...
