Fepuleai can't be 24 years old, he played for the Dragons U20s in 2008.

        Interesting signings though.

Dylan Sharp can sure play. He isn't the flashiest player you've seen but certainly does a lot of hard work in and around the ruck and he does it very well too. I'm surprised we didn't add him to our fulltime squad for next year but he has a chance to prove his worth at Newtown before forcing his way into the top squad. Could be a real smokey for a spot on the bench next year is he is in good form and we are unlucky with injuries.

Announcing more signings by the Newtown RLFC for the 2010 season ….

Troy Savage: 23; Centre; 185cm; 95kg; played with Newtown in 2007, Burleigh Bears (Queensland Cup) in 2008, Shellharbour Dragons (NSW Cup) in 2009. A Napier (NZ) junior, Troy also played Jersey Flegg with the Sydney Roosters.

Johnathon Ford: 20; 93kg; Fullback, Five-Eighth; Newcastle Knights Toyota Cup 2009, represented the Cook Islands national team in the 2009 Pacific Cup; at 194cm, he is described by his cousin Byron Ford as being “long enough to be continued”; a Macquarie Scorpions (Newcastle) junior. ( I though they looked similar!)

Nick Doig: 24; 174cm; 88kg; Hooker, Halfback; Cronulla-Sutherland Jersey Flegg, played Premier League with Newtown in 2005; has since been at St George-Illawarra and Burleigh Bears. Junior club: Inverell (Group 19).

There will be more news about Newtown’s 2010 signings in next week’s news bulletin.

Jason Wells was seen as a brilliant prospect not so long ago. He and Daniel Conn carved it up in the lower grades for the 'Dogs and the expectation was that they were NRL stars of the future.

Justin, son of John. For the oldtimers on here!
