JP was average at best, still lots to learn but seems keen to have a go.

Maliota and Leilua were the standouts for me and are the only two that looked too good to be in that grade.

The game plan was pretty average and there was an element of touch footy about the entire game.

Did you like Maliota not passing the ball to Stanley after he made that break that was pretty much the turning point as Souths scored in the next set.. He has potential but is a year away at least imho..

JP went ok... Always threaten to break line with footwork through the forwards
without doing so, but got very little ball when standing on his wing with a bit more room to move. Made 1 mistake being pushed out. He is going pretty well having only played a handful of games in league. The 20's are missing another pivot as everything revolves around Murray, Littlejohn is a fullback hopefully Jacob Miller comes up from the SG Ball when it completes in a month or so.

That is a very tough assessment, sure he made that mistake which plenty of much more seasoned players still make. He smashed over the advantage line every time he got the ball. If we need a pig from the lower grades due to injury he would be the first picked

I think his lateral movement would be sorely exposed in First Grade this year.. He is the standout forward in the NYC team without a doubt and I rate him but I think he would struggle badly in Firsts this year and I thought in the Foundation Cup he was way off the pace..

The standouts for me were Isaac and Mailota and BJ Leilua. Maliota was continually carting the ball up the middle and Leilua was a constant threat on the edges. Brad Murray seemed to be the main playmaker and everything was revolved around him. Jack Littlejohn didn't do much else. I don't understand why Ben Jones wasn't allowed to play as he didn't feature in first grade. The defence of our backs were all over the place and they missed crucial tackles which resulted in us conceding points. Tufuga Sa needs to come into the team as well as Fine Moeakiola who is currently our injured. Jacob Miller IMO is too good for SG Ball and needs to move into the 6 jersey.

Don't you get sick of writing that? Seriously, this guy seems to be injured ALL the time. And yes, it seems odd that Ben Jones wouldn't play for the NYC team.

I'm just going on what I've seen of him and what I've been told by people from the club, both players and officials. He seems to be one to watch apparently and we'll have this year to see whether he makes the step up into the NRL or not. He does seem to be injured ALL the time but I hope he can get over them, same goes for young guns Boyd Cordner and Matthew Hands.
