Has anybody seen any of the NYC games this season, and if so, how is JP performing. Does he appear to be grasping the game, or its still abit early to make a sound judgement, on how he is going.

    Many Thanks.....Burnt Rooster.

I saw the last 5 minutes of the NYC game against the Tigers. He touched the ball once from a scrum and nearly made a break.

    Give him time.

Ive seen a few 20's matches so far this season and JP looks pretty lost in defence at the moment. Williamson yells at him all match getting him in position. When ball is in hand he looks pretty good though. Time will tell......

very glad to hear he looks good with the ball. Much rather have to teach him positional play/defense than be teaching him to have some flair

and very much hoping williamson gets a chance in first grade soon

Murry said he was close to a call up last week. If Graham is ruled out I'd be pretty sure he will come in.

I can't see it happening... Williamson has been very average in NYC. Kane Linnett would be an obvious choice I think.. He started in the Foundation Cup match and was solid and has been scoring countless tries for Newtown and I have heard he has been a standout there.

Centres need good ball from the halves. Has Williamson been getting that in NYC? I doubt it as Scott Murray is a "spastic" and "can't coach".

Give him good ball in first grade and let's judge him after that.

He doesn't get good ball but doesn't go looking for it. I think in the 3 matches I watched this season, he may have gone into dummy half once. You are right on one thing Murray is a spastic coach.. Any coach worth their mustard would structure their game plan around their supposed strengths, the backline in this teams case but backline moves are non existent. Their play is totally unstructured. Actually it is structured. 4 hitups, play 5 sees either the half or 5/8 run the ball in circles before being tackled and tackle 6 a kick. However living in that rugby league hub of Melbourne I am sure you are better placed to comment.

Williamson doesn't come looking for the ball, I thought the service from Murray at half has been pretty good and he has been one of their better players. (I know you were refering to the coach though)

I just see a lot of Sa in him, all the gear but no idea....or motivation for that matter.

Du Plessis is a long, long, long way from being ready for first grade, he is trying and you can see he is getting better but he will not get near first grade for at least another 12 months

The NYC team actually train to get more ball to Williamson, but the halves just seem to keep turning the ball back to the inside during the game. I know it frustrates the hell out of him, and i've told him to be more aggressive with his halves and demand the ball when he wants it. He needs to be more asertive on the field then he has been.
Ryan will be a far better player in FG as he will see a lot more quality ball. If he gets early ball he will be very destructive. I know Linnet has been doing very well for Newtown, but so was Ryan during the preseason.

                            I'm with you, Murry.
Williamson oozes class. Better FG player than NYC

I think NYC is hard to gauge their "real" ability.
The mental state of alot of the NYC players is pretty ordinary.

The only way to tell is to give them a couple of games in the NRL.

I think that Melon might like to rename it the Canoe Cup
