Nothing wrong with Linnet, mate. I've watched a couple of Jets games this year, he's got potential.

Bag him all you want, he's playing pretty good footy atm.

Also, if someone teaches Tuigamala how to catch, he'll push for a spot once Mini's gone. Good defensive technique, has a bit to learn in terms of reading the game, but he's got a shitload of pace.

Don't get me wrong I hope the kid suceeds in fulfilling every ounce of potential that he might have. But I don't want to see him promoted above others who are playing better at a higher level.
If the NYC is a weaker comp then why did Ben Jones play for them when he was droped from FG a couple of weeks ago. Playing for the Jets may be physically harder but the talent of its players are not up to NYC level.

I was right in front of JP's last try. He did very well, and showed great footwork and strength to score the try. Give him some time learning the game, and he could potentially turn into a very good first grader

I don't know maybe they didn't want to breakup the Ford, Foran combination which has been really firing at Newtown.

Jets have some very strongly established combinations at the moment.

            Towers at fullback.

Linnett and Tuigamala in the centres.

Ford and Foran in the halves.

Jason Baitieri at lock (although against bigger packs they have had a tendency to bench him and start a front rower like Moujalli or Arona at lock).

Sorry but I have to disagree with that, at times the NYC is pretty damn ordinary, talent to me still infers an ability to tackle. From what I have seen the talent in the NYC is very much overstated.

I think putting a player down to the NYC from NRL relates to the two things, the fact they can due to their age and in the Roosters case its a separate entitiy to some extent.

I would back the Newtown Jets team against our NYC team any day of the week.

Can anyone shed any light on this bloke? He hasn't played nor named in any team line-up's since Rd 6 against the Raiders.
I suspect he could be out injured with an arm injury after being smashed in the same game.

And what about his countryman Brian ???(surname escapes me) the coloured winger with speed to burn, who arrived in March. I realise he needed to be educated about our game but i would have expected him to feature by now.

                  Any info would be appreciated

JP du Plessis has been dropped from the NYC side. He hasn't been injury and just hasn't been selected. It's a shame because he has shown signs of being a quality player. The other South African Brian Skosana returned to SA due to visa problems but that's the last I heard of that situation. Not sure if he has returned or not though.

hey footy, I'm hearing rumours of a player purge at the Roosters to take advantage of the Storm's problems, if this is true DuPlesis would be an ideal target as he is on decent money and he would likely return to South Africa if he was not getting a run.

its such a shame if they don't persist with the experiment because he was starting to show some potential with ball in hand.

Had a few problems under the high ball though.

hopefully either Leilua or Williamson will get a shot at first grade soon and they give Du Plesis a run at his preferred position centre before they call an end to the South African experiment.

There is substance to your post the Roosters are trying to offload some players on good contracts to make way for some high profile players. Gasnier was mentioned
