this will be the problem with Jp Du Plessis he is too old for SG Ball and not good enough yet to hold down an NYC spot when everyone is available, the only way he can develop is if he plays matches, otherwise the experiment will be a waste of time, perhaps he could have a stint in the NSW cup for either Newtown or their reserves so at least he is playing every weekend, while training with the first grade squad during the week.

I think you'll find with Ben Jones coming into the team, JP du Plessis dropped out of the team with Fine Moeakiola moving to the wing. At this stage with a full-strength backline in the NYC, sadly du Plessis won't feature but he must play at Newtown IMO. He must play somewherew with a good standard of footy or he won't improve.

Nick Eshman was out injured, not sure what though or for how long. BJ Leilua is returning next week though so he could fill the void in the backrow without doubt.

It was a great win by the NYC. They played a very expansive game, much like the NRL side. Brad Murray was the best player on the field IMO. Ben Jones and Mark Kheirallah were also outstanding.

I wasn't much of a fan of Murray, but the bloke is making me look very silly. His goal kicking is top notch.
