who would have thought 12 months ago clubs would be rushing to sign the cream of our youngsters, just goes to show how far we have come over the last 9 months.
Atkinson is stalling on signing a contract? I thought he already had an NYC contract?

If we lose all 3 POS will have some explaining to do...

Obviously the Roosters are trying to achieve a high level of discipline throughout all grades and I applaud them for it.

I hope they aren't being toos harsh on their assessment of the attitude of these guys though. How old are they? 17/18? Most blokes of this age DO have an attitude!

Atkinson has had a contract in front of him for a while now, from what I have heard he hasn't decided if he wants to play Union or League yet.

It'd be a shame to lose Atkinson. He is a good player. But with the likes of Boyd Cordner, Lou Goodwin and Ethan Lowe already in the NYC, it lessens the impact if he does leave to rugby. Atkinson isn't the only one who has been mentioned to me as going to rugby. There were another two mentioned, one who a few of us rate pretty highly.

Spoke to his uncle yesterday down at Bronte, Atkinson will not being going to rugby, he's just trying to finish his HSC and get a decent UAI, before committing 100% to the RWB, will sign. Plays RU because he boards at Scots, although he probably is the best union #12 in the state/country, made NSW and Aust Schoolboys Union last year when in yr 11, pulled out of Rep union this year to give his body a rest before RL preseason starts for 2011. A different class of defender to any of the other back rowers mentioned, 100 kilos, 6'5" and all class, hits like a train every time.....NSW U/18 lock says a lot.

Wow, what a comment, you wouldn't have heard that statement even 5 yrs ago.

He must go alright, cause Scots beat Joeys this year.

That correct AW. Cheyse is under contract for 2011 but nowadays we all know the invalidity of contracts when both parties reach mutual agreement.

Thanks for following up the matter and i hope he plays on in RWB.

Both Blair and Miller dont have attitude problems. if any of use seen the games these two kids had against brisbane you wouldnt be letting them go. Both massive stars of the future they just need opportunity.

Really pleased to see this kid going well. I had a bit to do with him in the Western Rams Under 18's team last year, he's a good kid with a level head on his shoulders.

Found this posted on another Rugby League Forum maybe related to this rumour.

                        "
                        Rumour-Roosters Sign Ferguson But...

My mail is Roosters have signed Blake Ferguson for 2011 however Ian Schubert has refused to approve his registration until the Roosters shed some players...."

Anyway congrats to the boys for their big win, enjoy the ride fans especially after the last few years.

I did hear that Jacob Miller has signed with Wests tigers. Through a player sponsor who was told by Cherrington at the titans game. Not sure if its true

I couldn't imagine the club letting both him and Brad Murray go at the same time.

I think you'll find that's true. I was told the same thing. Joel Greig is at the Tigers and I'm positive he would have played a role.

Yes, but he's under contract with us and they won't grant him a release apparently.
