Weird signing from the Eels, he is too old to play NYC next season so I guess he will be playing for Wenty!?

EDIT: Oh wait, he can play 20s next season.

      He is better than Mortimer.

The thing with Daniel Mortimer is he played very little halfback growing up. He was always 5/8th in his junior team. He presented Group 10, Western Division and Country Under 18's as a 5/8th. The only times he played half back was when his partner in crime Steve Morris (who was training with our top squad at the start of the year before getting injured and returning home) was out injured. Now Parramatta have tried to turn him into a half back and he's struggling. If they put him back in the number 6 outside a dominant half back he would do a good job, because he's excellent at playing that supporting role.

Murray turns 21 next year which makes him ineligible for the toyota cup

Does it? He'd still be 20 at the start of the year....that really is young if he's forced to go play for Wenty or Firsts already.

Good luck to the kid as he won't have too many opportunities at Easts.

Parra is the last place I would think is a club to develop a young halfback. But what opportunities would he get there if they have been looking out for an experienced halfback or they end up with Cooper?

to be eligible for the under 20's comp next year you have to be born on or after January 1st 1991

                    Too young at 20?

Freddy was 17. If he's half as good as Fittler, then we'd better not rue losing him.

I hate to see him leave. He is one of the best players in the NYC. Wish we had room for him.

lets get real, as much as i rate him/as good a player he is is anyone prepared to say that he is better than either carney or pearce or even young miller. miller would be the bigger loss of the two although that is starting to feel inevitable sadly. thats what happens when you have the 2 best halves in the game in first grade and the next generations best halves playing in the u20s. its good problem to have but as others have said, for us now its about keeping the right ones. with the amount of quality and depth we have it is inevitable that we will lose a few good players. lets just hope the better ones stay at bondi

Half decent halves are so rare in the game nowdays, they can always ask for a premium price, even if they are only at NYC level.

Parra would have offered far more than we could afford for a bloke who would have realistically spent his time with us playing for the Jets after this year.

Good luck to young Brad, he seems like a decent young fellow who deserves to take the best deal and opportunity he can get.

Next year they could have an untried NYC graduate in the halves with an untried Union convert.

It would still be much better than what they have there at the moment....

There current halves would have to be the worst in the comp bar none.
