SEVEN youngsters with NRL experience have been picked in the Junior Kangaroos team to take on New Zealand next month.
Gerard Beale (Broncos), Corey Norman (Broncos), Ryan James (Titans), William Hopoate (Sea Eagles), Micheal Oldfield (Sea Eagles), Justin O'Neill (Storm) and Ben Jones (Roosters) were all named after impressing in rugby league’s premier competition this year.
The side also includes Toyota Cup player of the year Tariq Sims, the brother of Ashton Sims, who will link with the Cowboys next season after carving up for the Broncos this year.
Back-rower Kyle O'Donnell, the brother of Luke O'Donnell, will also get a start after impressing for the Sharks this season. He will link with the Knights next year.
The Junior Kangaroos will be involved in a two game series in late October.
* Game 1 – Saturday 23rd October 2010 in Wellington
* Game 2 – Saturday 30th October 2010 in Rotarua
Further players will be added to the squad at the completion of week three of the play-offs. The final squad will be selected on October 4.
