Well done to the two youngsters from our premiership SG Ball side.

Thought Fine was harshly done by as well, some great young backs come through the ranks.

Fine, Blair, Miller, Atkinson didn't trial for this team, as did a heap of other U/18 NSW rep players. Aussie Schoolboys is far from a peak team these days, NSW and Qld 18's are the pic of the crop.

I was always under the impression that it was invitational only or at least the trials must be?

Strange because Miller was talking about the tour big time last year and how much he'd love to do it again this year...

To trial the boys must go through their school associations. Miller,Blair NSWCHS, Fine and Atkinson NSWCIS, the whole thing is a massive overlay on top of other footy commitments. Fine and Atkinson were still involved in school rugby union, miller and blair with 20's. Congrats to the boys who made the schoolboy team, but....why did over half play ball and not go close to making state teams, week in week out SGball gives a better look at the best players than a one week long schoolboys tournament at the end of which an Aussie team is picked? I'd like to see an Aussie u/16 and u/18 team picked from the NSW and Qld games.

Tau Moga MOTM in the second game, picked up a try as did Wells in a thumping.

Just to add to Rooster6's post. This is a summary from ourfooty.com.au

AUSTRALIAN SECONDARY SCHOOLS RUGBY LEAGUE TEAM V ENGLAND COMMUNITY LIONS
Story By : ASSRL - MEDIA RELEASE
Big Fella , Featherstone. UK- 7.30pm Friday, 26 November 2010

A good Featherstone crowd witnessed a polished display from the Australians who improved immensely form the first match on tour. The first half of football saw the Aussies dominate possession, completing 13/18sets, to run in eight first half tries.

The highlight of the first period was a scintillating 90 metre try by centre Tau Tau Moga down the right flank, stepping and weaving and palming off numerous defenders.

With the match rules allowing the use of 20 players and unlimited interchange, Coach Brendan Barlow used the opportunity to give all players game time and press their claims for selection in the upcoming Internationals against the England Academy.

The man of the match award went to Australian No 3 Tau Tau Moga.

The Players Player award went to Australian No 5 David Nofoaluma, who had an outstanding match, continually breaking the line and proving very difficult for the opposition to tackle.

After overnight snow at Howarth, the Australians now move further north to Whitehaven in preparation for the next match on Wednesday, 1 December against Great Britain Community Lions 7.30pm The Recreation Ground, Whitehaven UK

Looking forward to watching Moga & Wells play in the u20's team next year
