  • Newtown Backrow

    Cherrington/Symonds/Leilua/Tasi

That's one mean backrow. Have we put a better backrow together than that in reserves?

Maubs, Sa & Plum is the only thing that comes close in recent times and even then I'm not 100% sure that they all play together in the same game.

I would also think Cordner will be spending time in the Newtown backrow....

either Leilua or Cherro will be in the top 17 we need a big backrower than can create some second phase play.

Wouldn't Symonds play 5/8th for Newtown?

FPN will probably play that role, I don't think it'll take long for one or two of them to break into the starting team tbh it's just where I think they'll start off the season.

Doubt it, he'd be more likely to play centre.

              Ok yeah.

I reckon he'd make a good back up 6 for Carney and Anasta, tall, solid build, good running game, solid passing. Not sure about his kicking game though.

I remember saying that Symonds had bulked up in preparation for playing in the back row.. May be too big for 5/8

size shouldnt really matter, barrett, bird, campese and anasta are all huge and they all seem to play 5/8th with ease. as long as he has the skills it shouldnt matter.

I don't see that he's as mobile as those blokes you mentioned.
