  • Rhys Jack Highlight Video

Found this on youtube, it's worth a look.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJ90OFJhSxY

Now, I know we've all been sucked in by youtube videos before (Ryan Williamson), but for some reason this seems different. Unlike Williamson's video, and Justin Carney's, where there are obvious areas of their games that are left out, such as Williamson's defensive reads, which weren't always perfect, and Carney's obvious disadvantage under the high ball, Jack's video showcases a player with a very solid base in all facets of the game.

It shows a solid running game, very promising defensive technique, good hands, glimpses of a kicking game, and good support play. He looks like a dummy half more than a halfback, but there is promise there.

Don't want to hype him up too much, but rugby league's in his blood.

Obviously hard to judge given it's NSW cup but what I like is that he looks like a footballer rather than just an athlete. Love that tackling style!!

Looks like he really has a go.

Maybe he is in the same mould as Anthony Watts - a tough little bugger that will really have a go at half or hooker?

Two things you can't see on YouTube is his organisational skills and reading of the game. Two things that are very important in either position.

I'd put far more weight on a guy doing well in NSW Cup than a bloke tearing up the NYC, or an SG Ball competition.

I agree, tackling style is fantastic.

The difference between ryan and rhys is that J carneys highlights are all nrl games, if not for his injury i have no doub 't he would have remained in the nrl and still be at the raiders! he debued that young because he had what it takes to handle first grade.he handled it with ease!

Looks like a hog with the ball. Telegraphs the dive from dummy half.

                    Bonetti tackler though.
