There were 17 last week that did nothing so i'm sure one of them could be cut. I'm not even sure why Ridell is still there and don't tell me so Friend can take a breather. I don't see Ennis, Ross or Farah have one.

Piggy but that has been debated for the last couple of weeks so no need to revisit it here. We played shockingly last week but we were still in the game with ten to go. I can't help but think whether Symonds being available could have just given us some spark to get us over the line.

There isn't really anything else that Symonds could say. If he showed his disappointment then he would probably risk getting on Smithy's wrong side. But it goes to show his professionalism. Unlike some who spewed for not playing in his normal position or going out to the media crying about not being offered a contract.

Agree that there's no need to revisit the entire team balance debate. But just on this point: while it didn't happen for us last week, we are surely the best team in the comp at pulling games out of the fire. Our side has its weaknesses, but game-breakers in the concluding quarter of a match isn't one of them.

Might have been the case if Symonds filled in for your man last week but as you said we won't go there

Was Tahu ever good? First I heard of him was when he went over to Union...
Since then all I've heard about is his dummy spits + allegations about him being racist. What does he do on the field?

No one needs to fill in for Piggy; he mightn't quite have the splendid belly he once exhibited but he still looks impressively filled out.

But seriously, it isn't about him. If Piggy continues to disappoint and is replaced, I'd prefer to see another prop than another second-rower anyway.

People have been debating Perrett for the last 4 years. That is what we do here. Piggy has no value at the moment. Perhaps in round 12 he might be up to speed. Symonds may no have done much either last week but he deserves a call up nevertheless.

Tahu actually had a particularly brilliant year under Brian Smith, when the Eels won the minor premiership in 2005. (Piggy had a great season in that team as well.) Tahu had long been one of the classiest wingers going around, but Smith improved a number of technical aspects about his game, especially in defence, and turned him into a dynamic centre.

Watching Tahu today and Piggy the past couple of weeks, you realise that six years is a long time. Still, both should improve as they get more footy into their ageing legs.

lama tasi and johnno ford, ultimately cost their team the win.
lazy pass by tasi, johnno ford's hogging the ball all game.
                            they shouldve won by 20.
who can forget that farken idiot having the ball stolen of him in the 1st 10 minutes

I assume you went out there pg. Apart from that pass how do you think Tasi went? Also Carney, Conn and Graham? Does Conn look interested?
