After such a serious knee injury I wouldn't be expecting too much. Hopefully he can just get through the early rounds injury free and then start to show his best in the back half.

Didn't play the full 80mins but he's coming along ok considering his disruptive couple of years with injuries.
You can clearly see the guy has ability but I think he's trying too hard....trying to do too much. On two occasions against the Tigers he ran onto the ball out wide in the opposition quarter and coughed up possession.
I'm confident he'll come good soonish.

can anyone really reassure that Cordner is a future leader of our pack?
Reading the knights forums, there have been comparisons to Mason in terms of size but a lack of good attitude; as well, there didnt seem to be much remorse or regret when they lost him as a junior.. in comparison to Tasi at manly etc

Interesting to see where Atkinson fits in when he comes back from injury in the next few weeks.

i wouldn't expect too much fro most of this season from Cordner after a knee reconstruction. Most players take a season before they get back their confidence and form.

I was living in Newcastle when he signed for us. They were mightily pissed at losing Boyd. When Dane followed the next year they weren't so worried. But trust me the Knights were fuming to have lost Boyd.

I watched him play NYC the other week.. Very disappointing display, he did not stand out in under 20's...he is a long way off first grade IMO..

Ditto. For someone who has been lauded as a "generational player" I don't see too much to get excited about. He pulled off a couple of nice hits but that was it.

                          Chook.

The dury is still out on Boyd.

A couple of the games I have seen, he has not stood out.

In saying that, it takes a while after doing a knee recon.

The under 20's is touch footie. Seriously, have they heard of tackle bags?

Although Boyd is still young, Goodwin/Tasi/Arona are way ahead of him.

If still no improvement by mid 2012, all this 'potential' means nothing. Bye Bye.

Why do we need to rush these kids?

12 months ago people were saying similar about Mose now look how he has developed

Give the kid time he did put a hit on JWH as a 16 year old that made him miss the start of 2010
