A mate from Forbes (where he went to school) rang me the other day and said that Goodwin had left the club and moved to Albury... This really is sad news for our club but if his heart isnt in football then there is not much we can do. good luck to him in whatever he chooses to do

Correct, confirmed today. Has had enough of our bright city living.
Which club is closest to Albury? Canberra, Melbourne perhaps.....country lifestyle?

According to the Roosters NYC listing this week, today, he is still a member of our NYC squad

If you're referring to the official website's "Players Profile" then you're sadly misled JollyJ. They hardly ever update that section.
Very poor in comparison to other clubs i.e Tigers, Parra. Every couple of days they update their website with club news.

Yep, defnitely gone. His family are a bit disappointed with him but the understand there's no point pushing him to do something when his heart isn't in it

Sad news but if he is genuinely unhappy best to let him do what he needs to do and sort himself out. Hopefully the door is still open if he has a change of heart. Seems a genuine prospect.

No it asn't in the player profiles but the team listing for this week! The club may not have given up hope for him to come back.

The club have been ringing him begging him to comeback....all sorts of comments....'you're close to making first grade'......'you've got a big future here' etc etc. As of yesterday, he wasn't coming back though.

                      Sydney Rooster signs with Albury

Here's the confirmation guys http://www.bordermail.com.au/news/lo...y/2176907.aspx he's signed up with Josh Cale (remember him?? apparently doing a good job down in Albury).

Lou is apparently not a fan of traffic lights... You can take the boy out of the country but.... etc. Hard to see him coming back

geez this seems to be happening alot with players getting homesick. im not sure there is much you can do about it but it is a big waste of the clubs resources as well as disruptions to the season and any first grade plans the club had for this player.
