Today I'm watching Toyota Cup for the first time this season.

I can't believe how poor the standard is. There is no way these players are anywhere near first grade.

The halves can barely pass the ball and have no creativity whatsoever.

It is like watching under 12s.

Thats the problem i have with the under 20's being the next highest comp behind first grade !

They need to bring back a proper reserve grade.

This will give the under 20 players somewhere to go once they turn 21, rather than send them to a suburban competition that is the NSW cup.

If the halves actually passed the ball to the left and the right with some depth, we might have a few more outstanding players in the 20's other than those that play in the middle and continually run the ball to the left, ie 7, 9 and 13. Worked against a weak Goldie, but really they'll need to find their deeper and BIGGER runners next week if they are to beat the Sharks. The right hand edge was underused. Like watching u/12's who only pass to their mates.

It was very very poor.

A few of the forwards looked ok but it was a very poor standard.

It is a stupid competition with more egos than shoe laces and more mistakles than a team full of Sandows.
