Heading out there this arvo. It's a shame the two teams' first grade affiliates have been so ravaged by injury this year. Jets are missing a lot of their big guns in Naughton, Carney, Ford, Tasi, Arona, Enahoro, Cordner and Conn. Would have been good to see Boyd at Henson this week cos he tore them up last week in attack and was consistently putting big tackles in. He's a serious prospect and I wouldn't be surprised to see him come off the bench for the firsts tonight.

I don't mind the look of Takairangi who played great last week and has the biggest hands in the comp (they just swallow the ball). At the start of last year he looked to be one of Smith's projects but struggled in his first couple of games and fell off the pace pretty quick. He'll be a stand-out today for mine.

I'll be there - the hill at Henson is the happiest place on earth.

                  Jets won 20 - 10 with 2 late tries after the score was 4 - 4 at half-time.

The lock Ellaz looked the most dangerous when he was out there...broke the line clean twice scoring the first try with his first bust. Mataka looked good on the right edge with takairangi but they kept spilling their lollies after half breaks. Kheirallah looked sharp when he came from his wing to play dh..might've busted his shoulder towards the end of the game though unfortunately, but did play on. I think he's definitely a player that they should give a go in first grade now the season is gone..possibly slot him in at fullback and push mini to the wing.
