So there was an article in the Daily Astonisher today about a Newtown Front Rower called Tuigamala. The article is about how he was 137kgs and now is about 120 and is set to be the next Fui Fui. Seems a bit much but I figured I'd ask the question, has anyone seen him and how does he go?

The article suggests he may get a run in firsts some time this year... I'd probably be suprised if we unearth another player, we'd have to have gone over our cap by now I would think.

In 2010, played with Bankstown City in the Bundaberg Cup

That's him. I watched the tv replay a couple of weeks ago when Jets beat Wenty. Francis is one big bopper hard to put down.
Fitness will be his biggest obstacle ahead of an NRL debut but as today's article indicated, he needs to shed further weight and reach
a target of 110kg. Also mentioned that veteran boxing trainer Johnny Lewis will be helping out.

The big issue with Tuigamala & Verlinden at the Jets is fitness.

Both are big boppers, but both have to lose a massive amount of weight to have any hope of playing first grade.

Played Premier League with North Sydney in 2007-08; NSW Cup with Cronulla-Sutherland in 2009.
Joined Newtown in 2010 for the 2010 NSW Cup season.
Junior club: Wentworthville.

Ryan was 'another' of the 'next big thing' as a junior, but was tagged as lazy as he got older and fatter!
