    Definitely. There are 1000's of stories of schoolboy sensations who for one reason or another never made it to the big show. In a lot of cases it was nothing to do with talent as there is more than just playing ability which goes towards making a good footballer.

          U20s is not a great indication of NRL ability, its a wank, too many players not wanting to tackle. Thats why they should bring back reserve grade.

          Injury and opportunity affect whether a kid makes it or not, but the biggest thing used to be application and work ethic.
          Now alot of it is size and muscle def. Unfortunately that brings through atheletes/drones rather than footballers
