Originally posted by Headless Chook View PostYeah, skipped to the outside of his marker very easily. Got a bit lost trying to position his support though and ran himself out of room. He reminds me of a young Soliola, just hope he develops a lot more than Soli did and doesn't lose his pace or footwork.
Soli was dominant in the lower grades and when he first came into in the NRL he looked very good.
I still think he was talented but he just had shit coaching and bad luck with injury.
Moga looks good though.

Curtis Rona is actually a WA indigenous kid > Perths Red. POS identified him out of their SG Ball squad a couple of years ago.
He stated he would dearly love to represent his state if they get admitted into the NRL. Curtis has great potential and his
versatility is a bonus too.
Dylan Napa, Adam Brent & Issac Lui returning from injury has boosted our go forward and tough defence enormously. Mix in
up'n'comers Tuivasa & Tago and regular Kane Evans and we've effectively got 6 front rowers in the squad. Good go forward.

The halves looked pretty good to i think the 5/8 littlejohn will turn into a ball playing lock but the halfback looked really good.moga this is his best year yet scored something like 19 tries in 9 sg ball games and now has scored 8 tries in 5 20s matches when u look at it we have some good players coming thou. I would love to sign moga evens rona tago napa lowe tuivasa jacks and littlejohn out of that side and develop them in to first graders

You've got to feel sorry for Jared Allen. Every time the bloke gets a go at 5/8 he impresses with great running and plenty of assists. But then Littlejohn comes back in and has a blinder.
Seems as though Wells and Littlejohn in particular like to play to the right so that's probably why we didn't see as much from Moga yesterday. Compare that to last week with Allen there when every time Dumbrell got us on the front foot from dh his sole aim was to get the ball to Lowe and Moga.
Shame about Wells. Decisions like that make you think Dugan will be here in 2013.
For mine Evans, Lowe, Dumbrell, Moga, Napa and Blair will all become regular first graders. Hopefully all for the mighty Roosters.

Originally posted by fletch View PostKane Evans is already training with the full time squad, would love to see him get a game off the bench sometime this season, would be great encouragement to train hard in the offseason.Wells has already signed with the Titans, he is a gold coast boy and was happy to head home, not sure how many more games he will play this season as there is no point helping his development as we will see no benefit, once Alofa Alofa returns from injury he should hold his place for the rest of the season.
With players due to return to the 1st grade team from injury it remains to be seen if coach Smith decides to blood him. He's still
raw but shows plenty of ticker & passion.

Ryley Jacks is only 18 and still has 2 more years of 20s in him so I think he will develop a lot further as a ball player. It is obvious when watching the 20s that most of our tries come off the back of either good dummy half running, clever offloads or quick spreads to some very good outside backs. Not many tries have come from subtle ball playing close to the line by Littlejohn or Jacks. But go with whatever works for you I guess.
