Had a quick look at the Newtown game on FoxSports this afternoon.

Latu can play.

Strong, good leg speed, and is aggressive in contact, bouncing off tackles almost at will - and Cronulla have gone well this year.

With Tagive and Latu, we have a bit of depth in the backs. We need a more established three quarter to top it off.

On a side note, boy Johnathon Ford is shit. He can run, but his kicking is atrocious. I don't get the hype about Maliota either, is good with ball in hand, but is VERY lazy in defence around the ruck.

Maliota has only been back 3 weeks after surgery in the off season, surely you cannot expect the bloke to be up to full fitness in 3 weeks

True, but it was a commitment rather than fitness issue - no urgency in his play.

It is a massive discriminator between NSW Cup players and first graders - those who have that intensity to their play when they run the footy, pressure a kicker, or get across to cover the ruck... they're the ones that will probably make it.

Sure, Maliota might not be at top fitness, but there was no discernible desire to do the little things right.

I guess I'll wait till I see him have a crack at full pelt though.

To be fair on Gman, Henry Tagive Latu is pretty close to Ratu Peni Tagive just arranged differently. On a serious note, interested in checking out what Adam Henry has to offer. Big and tall but according to Warriors fans a bit on the slow side due to his size. My question is do they mean "BJ" slow or just "slower than Locke" slow?

I have seen one game of his and he scored two tries and kicked about ten goals he is a good finsher and can play 5/8 as well
