Unlucky Isaac Lui. After making a half break a Storm player tackled him from behind & landed on his ankle. Don't think he'll play
again this year. Poor bloke...each time he returned from injury this year he got re-injured.

Nick Ehsman who tackled himself to a standstill copped a knock to the face and was groggy. Probably why he's out. Dane Atkinson
will fill the void superbly, especially in defence.

I agree keep Rona there, though our wingers have been good and I'm not sure if blair would be as good as our wingers have been. Blair of the bench if needed!

Elegantjunk, it sounds like you have a connection to the NYC side, I agree it is very poor form if they have just dropped Rona because they have to pay him some bonuses, I truely hope that it is the result of exceeding our NYC salary cap and we will face a fine if we have to fork out that bonus to Rona. Its such a shame because he has certainly been very good this season, maybe all the members of the chookpen should bombard Noyce to get this situation clarified.

I'm wondering if this is why we have rested some players a couple of times this season when they were not injured.

Elegantjunk do you know the contract situations of Moga/Lowe/Evans/Dumbrell/Alofa Alofa/Blair, have any of them been added to our NRL top 25 squad?

just a little connection, sorry I don't know the contract details of the other guys, but it doe's seem a bit suspect to me that a player gets dropped after being a consistent player for the last 11 games and must i say in the winning streak games and gets dropped on form against the storm going of stats he made 25 tackles, 6 tackle breaks , 2 offloads, 2 line breaks, he did miss a few tackles but so did most of the team, also was marking the toyota cup team centre. what do you think?

elegantjunk, if Rona was dropped on form its a disgrace, he was much better than O'Sullivan and Blair on the weekend, I agree Moga/Taripo must both come in but surely O'Sullivan or Blair should have been the one to miss out, IMO our best form this year was when Blair was out suspended.

hey fletch, for sure we need taripo/tago for the points and there inclusion is justified, exactly the 6 weeks suspension for blair was when the boys pulled together, youve got to wonder what the politics are. hope the boys go well this week never know he could be back if we make semi's, go the roosters tik tak boom!

Terrible news regarding Liu. The way his ankle rolled outwards under pressure often means a low fibular fracture which would obviously mean the season. Even though you can still often run with a fib fracture there's no way they'd put him out there. Such a shame because Isaac is crucial to the dynamic of the forward pack. He is easily the most mobile prop in the team and if he was to make it back and play lock that would probably mean we could afford to carry Rona on the bench at the very least, with Brent and Tago as the other bigger tight forwards.

I agree that there is obviously something fishy going on with the dropping of Rona. Surely the smart option would be to have Rona at r centre and Blair r wing. That would make for the exact same backline as when we last played the sharks. Crazy to drop Rona, he was all over the Sharks left edge defence that night.

Blair is useless but I believe POS has huge manlove for him.. Not sure if he gets a say though in selections.

Rona has an ankle injury...will miss only one week though. Blair can play but he's not quite as good as he thinks he is at the mo...his arrogance will be the making of him however once he steps up in class. Looks twice as good as Winterstein and Earl at the same age...

Just in regards to the comment above Rona doesnt have an ankle injury, he got dropped due to some fishy reason. Not sure why because he is a crucial part of the 20s team. Not sure what the coach was thinking with this one... all well good luck to the roosters 20s!
