such a shame we won't see them on Fox again till the finals, much more enjoyable watching them play than our overpaid first grade rabble.

if injuries are kind and we can get Dylan Nappa back we are probably the only side capable of stopping the warriors from winning another NYC title.

The Dragons are a good side too their position doesn't represent the team they named this week, it's a good win makes it about 7 or 8 straight? Massive game on Saturday against the Sharks if we can beat them we'll really prove ourselves as a contender.

Today was a very impressive performance. Their defence was outstanding. The forward pack was intimidating all game. What impresses me most about this team is that when things get tough the "stars" stand up. For example, at the start of the second half the dragons were starting to get some momentum. Their fullback gathered the ball from a kick and skirts around the chasers and heads 20 metres down field, next minute Kane Evans comes out of nowhere and absolutely smashes him and slows the play the ball. Evans was involved in the next 2 tackles on forwards and made two bone jarring tackles. Little things like that really broke the spirit of the dragons.

Or when we fell behind and the Dragons were gaining the ascendency. We start at set just behing half-way, the ball gets spread out to Moga and he just pushes the button and makes a 40 metre dash up field and we score to get the lead back.

Other standouts today were Brent, Atkinson, Littlejohn and Dumbrell. Cheyse Blair was very good on the right wing. Great in the air unlucky not to grab a try after outjumping the opposing dragons winger who I think just dragged his foot out before he could get it down. Henare Wells scored the winning try through awesome speed and great balance to brush off the fullback and evade cover, but he also made several crucial errors which put us under a lot of pressure. Will be very interesting to see if they go with Wells or Alofa for the finals if they're both fit.

And credit where credit is due, the Dragons fullback Evander Cummins is scary good. He will definitely feature in the Dragons first grade side next year especially if they go with Moltzen as a bench utility option. He probably made over 20 tackle breaks today. Unbelievable pace so he was contained as best you could hope for against a player of that calibre. Did I hear on hear that he is an Easts junior? If so, don't know how that one got away. He would solve the fullback issue at the Roosters in no time flat.

Just discovered Cummins is only 17. If you're good enough you're old enough.

                    Evander Cummins:

                    19 runs (120m)
                    7 tackle busts
                    1 try assist

Only 13 tackle breaks off haha

We should be throwing money at someone now to replace Mini for 2012.. His positon surely is untenable with the performances he puts in each week.

like anasta we need his experience and stability next year. he hasnt been as good as we expect this year but he is doing a decent job and is needed to help nurture the young crop coming through

Haha thanks Geo. I'm not exactly sure what constitues a tackle bust but not exaggerating every return (albeit alot sideways) he was brushing off several defenders. Most of the time our guys could only get a hand on him and he'd be gone. A bit Boyd-like only not as gumby-looking. It says something about the team's commitment that he didn't make any long return breaks.

I noticed in his dragons profile he mentioned Sydney Roosters as a previous club. Pretty disappointing that he was let go. Especially considering Henare Wells is now leaving also. Does the club not notice some of the junk Mini is producing these days??? Or are they that confident in getting Dugan and are just resigned to having average 5 metre kick returns for the entire 2012 season??

We can use his experience in an off the field role but his performances are diabolical.. I would even prefer Phil Graham at the back to Mini.. At least he offers the hope of a line break.
