  • Roosters have signed Newcastle NYC prop Josh Ailaomai on 2 year deal

anybody got any info on Josh?

curious we would sign another prop, I wonder if this foot problem that Kennedy has is a lot worse than expected, yes he is due back round 1 next year but when you are dealing with stress fractures and the like in the foot of a 110kg prop it can cause serious long term problems.

Maybe a young player smith had his eye on at newcastle or might want to play with smith?

good young player. has played TYC since its inception and is still elegible this year. has had a lot of injury problems. only criticism of this signing for me is that he is in the Tasi/Masoe mold of impact prop whereas someone who was a bit more a worker would have been my preference like luke page

                  LOL.

                  Yes, of course.

Sacking a repeat off field offender who has been the catalyst for a culture of drinking and indifference in our team would definitely be negated by... signing a prop who was suspended for contact with a referee and broke Boyd's jaw?

Did you ever see Morley play?

One step forward, two steps back... talk about melodrama.

The coaching staff undermining the playing group by signing a player who put a cheap shot on one of their mates. Morley was always one of us, it's not even comparable. I'm sure you've played sport before how would you feel towards him?

Keeping in mind this shot was premeditated and broke his jaw. It caused Boyd's brother to walk out on the Knights...

For those of you who are to ignorant to take notice of the NYC, or look past ye olde 'canoe' ideology...THIS BLOKE IS AN ABOLSUTE BEAST!!!

                      Fantastic signing.

Pretty much in the same mould as Mose, except he's alot fitter.

What caused Dane Cordner to go back to the Knights?

Broke Cordners jaw, 6 week suspension for intentional contact with a referee and we sign him on a 2 year deal. Lets hope he does'nt drink beer with some team-mates at a pub, Smith wont tolerate that sort of behaviour.

I wonder if Boyd still harbours resentment against this bloke? If so, it's not an ideal situation.

I'd be very surprised if Cordner couldn't put aside or sort out a two year old grudge (if such a grudge even exists), and play first grade while this bloke helps us out in the NYC.

In any case, if he proves a problem, Ailaomai will go. This is a signing in a position where we need quality, and by all reports, he's a good footballer.

To say signing this bloke would negate any positives brought about by the imminent sacking of Carney is ludicrous.
