In any case, if he proves a problem, Ailaomai will go. This is a signing in a position where we need quality, and by all reports, he's a good footballer.
To say signing this bloke would negate any positives brought about by the imminent sacking of Carney is ludicrous....

Was at the game and the image of Boyd coming off with the amount of blood coming from his mouth is an image that's never left me. Worse than Khunt on Anasta and atleast Khunt had an excuse there....
Not doubting for a second that this guy is a talent I just don't understand releasing a bloke for attitude problems and then signing another who clearly has attitude problems yet with no where near the upside.
I hold Evans in higher regard too and Napa looks like he could handle first grade in a few years too. The signing is bizarre and unnecessary imo.

I agree the front row stocks in NYC are good but I think this is a postion that you cannot have too much depth.. The other thing is whilst he has some record, he won't be followed on a daily basis by the media and his incidents have been onfield.. Carney is a classic case sadly of 'damaged' goods and I think the situation is untenable and probably best for all he got a fresh start....

Ryles, Kennedy, Masoe, Hargreaves, Tasi, Evans, Ailomai and Napa makes up a whole bunch of massive forwards, Napa and Evans look the goods out of our current crop of NYC props (Tago and Tuivasa look a bit too chubby for first grade, and Liu isn't really a genuine prop IMO), Tasi has been outstanding when filling in for Kennedy this year, and Ailomai is very explosive and strong, if a little bit inconsistent.

Are you saying because he's been suspended and made a bad tackle he has attitude problems? Or has this guy been in some sort of trouble off the field that you haven't mentioned? If it's the former you must have absolutely detested Adrian Morley.
