  • why oh why did we let Jacob Miller go

said it when I first heard we were thinking of letting him go, we really stuffed up here, can't believe we let the best young half in the game walk away, while he was still under contract.

no surprise he one NYC halfback of the year this year.

we should get on the phone to his manager and at least try and get him back, problem is the Tigers won't be stupid enough to let him go.

anybody know how long his contract with the Tigers is, maybe he can be Anasta's replacement in 2013.

Hopefully only a short contract. I think we did the right thing by him at the time with Pearce, Carney and Anasta. He may come back.

He couldnt keep his spot in the Tigers side in front of Lui and that didnt seem to hard a task earlier this year.
I think we wait to see what talent comes on the market next year if nothing i think give Blake Lazarus a go.

I didn't think he was that great in the few games he played for the Tigers.
I'd like to see how Littlejohn goes in the top grade unless we find a marquee 5/8 after our current marquee 5/8 leaves.

perhaps he was given a very minor role with the tigers, but i really didn't see that much talent within him during his short stints?

I agree with Buddy,i would like to see how Littlejohn goes in the no.6 in the next couple of years.
He is the current captian of the 20's,this guy is a real leader and a talent to boot..

Miller killed it in the 20's this year, easily the most talented young 5/8.

                  Get him back asap

Its easy for a half to kill it in touch football.

And he's the best of those halves...

Not sure who people think we're going to sign otherwise... Unfortunately marshall, thurston or foran won't be leaving their clubs anytime soon

How do you think he went in his couple of games in the top grade? I don't think he is ready and needs a bit of time in NSW Cup. A big step up to first grade and I can't see it working with Pearce either. Same goes with Littlejohn having to step up but if we get Miller back then we say bye to Littlejohn. Littlejohn deserves a shot after the year he has had in NYC.

Fletch, it came down to money and opportunity.
They reportedly offered him $90K p.a compared to our paltry $15K.
At that point in time careless Carney & Pearce were going to be our halves combo for a long time (wishful thinking).
Jacob made the right decision based on his future.

Jacob Miller would get crucified here if he was our best option in the halves..
