    lets simplify this.

cause in some aspects i agree with rooster 6.

I knew after the way Taylor spoke that we would play little or no risk footy.
If you watch the sharks regularly, particularly with Chad at the helm they play no risk footy also.
They are just better at playing that style of game.
    Hence we were "outcoached".

Some of the on-line desperation against the sharks was unbelievable for blokes just coming out of SG ball.
I saw all their home games but no away games this year and I agree with Yak. IMO they missed Hanare Wells
at f/back. He reads the game beautifully. Alofa x 2 would be better suited on the wing.
        Some good prospects coming up.

It was actually Adrian Lam from dummy half.

Exactly right, it was lammie from dummy half with a wonkie drop goal as the siren was about to go off.

I've hardly seen any toyota cup games this year but they looked poorly coached to me in that semi against the sharks.

I know ethan lowe is a good solid player but why have a strike weapon like moga in the centres when you have a second rower inside him who was hogging the ball all day out in the backline, brought back memories of fitzy being in the middle of backline movements late in his career.

              Plus our halves are terrible.

If Pearce doesn't improve dramatically next year we are in big trouble in the halves department.

There aren't many good young halves coming through at any club.

Agreed, he hasn't improved as much as he should have by now probably a lot of it as a result of our dud coaches.

100% right on Lowe and Moga.

The problem is all these kids think they are going to be stars and are desperate to get a contract. That's why you see so many hogs and why the defence in the league is so crap. They are just out there playing for themselves you see it in every team.

And unfortunately a lot of them bring that attitude when they make first grade and struggle to do any differently. There is not a lot of 'team' in the NYC, rather a spotlight on talented individuals.

I wish there was more of a focus on teamwork in the under 20s but it seems all the focus is on the 'next superstars' of the game. And bugger those less talented who appear to be just there to make up the numbers. Fact is a lot of the blokes just there to make up the numbers are the ones who ultimately make the better first grade player.

I watched the two finals games having not seen the team play before that. I was keen to watch them play after all the hype. It was a bit of a letdown but felt they were simply outplayed by two more experienced teams. Having Townsend in the Sharks team was a huge advantage for them. A lot of the boys are still very young and were playing their first year of NYC is that right? They should get better with experience and how they back it up next year will be the real test of their potential I think.

A few of them are still 17. The semi's experience will be good for them, and if the majority of this team play together for a couple of years
                          we should go well.

There is no doubt there is some serious talent in this squad.

My concern is the man guiding their path to first grade.

                              Don't worry mate.

Just wait for Moga to punch out jt at the end of season piss up.

On that topic, why would coaches go out on the piss with players at the end of season.
You have to tear strips off them, insult them and offend them, yet you want to drink with them like best buddies and be one of the boys.

Stupidity, he deserved a broken face.

That's only if they're not doing what they are told. In my coaching experience the need to carry on like that occurs about once or twice a year. Having said that, I don't think the coach should be there all day during Mad Monday. I used to go and have breakfast with the guys and a few beers throughout the day but 2 or 3pm would pull me up and thats when I would leave them to it.
