Mad Monday for first grade is very different to any other end of year boozer I have seen.
I've coached first grade, reserve grade (hardest job there is in bush footy) and under 18's. I have been on many Mad Mondays including one year where we made the front page of the local paper for all the wrong (albeit harmless) reasons. I know what goes on, but as I said, I used to start with them but finish up by mid afternoon. In a lot of cases, the players want the coach at their Mad Monday celebrations. I would be disappointed if I was a player who had busted my gut for a coach all year and he didn't even show his head for a drink at the end of the season.

This is a lot different to what Taylor did when he was at Souffs. From memory he was dressed up like the rest of them.
