As mentioned James Heliwell is too old and has gone back to Syd Uni Rugby.
I don't think he played any games at all anyway

                I believe he's staying put.

If they decide to play this new kiwi signing - Roger Tuivasa-Sheck at fullback or alternatively Javid Bowen, where does Henare play? Maybe
back to the wing or possibly as a back-up five eight.

This kiwi kid would want to be good to take the fullback spot off Wells..

He looked a gun in the NYC games i saw him play this year..

Gman, that would be good news if Wells is staying, just needed to beef up a bit, he looks to have a good footy brain and certainly added something to the attack when he was at fullback.

I wonder if this Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is a relative of Tai Tuivasa our current NYC prop who had a horror final series.

Too right. Wells had a delayed start to 2011 because he was too light. The conditioners had him on a program to increase his weight
which he eventually did. I'm sure they would be doing something similar this off season.

Will try to find out about the Tuivasa connection.

Does anyone know what happened to Fine Moeakiola?

There were big wraps on him, I'm guessing he's too old to play 20s, but recently his name just hasn't been popping up.

                            Has he left us?

Fine was signed up by the Waratahs, he was also supposed to be in the Aussie 7's squad. haven't seen his name pop up in any of the Union rep teams though.

moeakiola is too old for 20s (i believe he is 21 this year) and had a bad run of injuries which stunted his progress for us so he was released end of last year i believe.

good news on wells. i was convinced that he was legitimately leaving but that said, it never did make sense considering last year was his first year with the club so it was unlikely that his contract had already expired and he looked to be settling in particularly well. he and that young tuivasa-sheck character give us some real quality at the back when we turn our attention to looking for a replacement for mini at the end of next year. from the little that i have read and seen of RTS, he does look a little better suited to wing or centre whereas i love the way that wells glides across the park from fullback and for mine, he ticks all the necessary boxes for a modern day fullback (speed, footwork, excellent workrate, great support player and can ball play before and at the line - i seem to recall a number of breaks on the edges created by some excellent balls from wells in the 20s run to the finals this year). exciting times no doubt
