Willis Meehan is the son of heavyweight boxer Kali. His older brother Louis is training with our U20's squad. Good prospects
& they can certainly hold their own. Actually very surprised they are at our club considering Kali has been closely linked with
    Parra in the past.
Ofahengaue is the nephew of former Wallaby Willie. This will be his 3rd year in our junior system.

Have they named the NYC team yet?

Might have to get out there a little earlier on Sunday, didn't realise there would be so many familiar names. I hear Taane Milne is really something. What position is Alex Vlahos BlindFreddy?

I have seen him play in the outside backs in union, he would play backrow in league I'd imagine, centres at a pinch.

Big, strong and good on his feet.

No they aren't, most are from QLD out of the starting team last week 9 of the 13 were from over the border. Still they are chooks now and lets see how far they can go, great start to the season. The Doggies are always one of the top teams so I would take a win over them any day!!. Tigers next week who aren't usually that strong so shouldn't cause too many headaches.

Sg ball lost to Balmain 44-16, very disappointing effort considering we led 16-0 after about 20 minutes. I thought we would have really gone on to have a good win but once the Tigers got a bit of ball and field position our defense looked uncommited. Wiilis Meehan was a standout and certainly knows how to find the tryline.

                        Hey Scorcher,
Did Joe Ofenhengaue (?#8 jersey) play? If so, how do you think he played?
From what i saw at Belmore he is a real goer & one i'm keen to keep an eye on.

Anyone see them play? Lloyd supposedly goes alright too.

I thought both front rowers went well in the first half, Perrett came on just as Balmain mounted their comeback and is massive but Balmain's pack managed to contain them both and were more aggressive than our forwards IMO. It was a hot day and we certainly looked to run out of puff quickly as the game went on. Have these QLD players been putting in the hard yards, they should be use to the heat but lets hope it was just a one off poor performance.
