Sorry above link didn't work for me. Young (indigenous?) bloke called Joseph Forrester. Had interest from Pemriff and Souffs but chose the Roosters.
Good to see that while Souffs can cram Greg Inglis in, we've got cash left for youngsters.

"Forrester, who can play centre, wing or fullback, admits he will be happy to play anywhere as long as it means a berth come Round 1 in 2012." That's the part I like best.
No names given but IMO we have been a little too top heavy in many of our young signings, favouring size over speed, skills and game sense. Again IMHO skills are what you want to look out for because ANYBODY can bulk up. Put them on a weights program, feed them LOTS of food and the kg will come. Skills and speed however are quite unique. While you can develop them, by the time you're pro, you're probably either a big hitter or a more nimble player. (Or both... they exist.)

Here's looking at you, kid.

There's a look at Clinton Sills for those interested.

BUT, I'm fast becoming a POS believer.
This is the best recruitment/retention from the club that I can remember.
On another note, I'm still curious as to why Forrester trialed with two clubs but wasn't signed up...

Agree BF . You're not going to post your errors into a youtube clip. But from what I saw, I'll keep an eye on him this year. Could be a most exciting player.
Seems to have natural speed and a bit of strength.Written and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland

Good point about Souffs and the Riff not signing him. What's the salary cap rule when it comes to NYC players who presumably aren't going to get paid THAT much?
Also (again assuming he is indigenous... he is right?) what kind of support are we offering? Young bloke from NT who presumably knows how to party is heading to Sydney all by himself. What kind of package would he get? Would it be say:
- 55k NYC salary (enough for a single guy to pay the rent, eat properly and... live)
- Full-time training program
- QUALITY contact time/mentorship provided by some reasonably senior staff.
No idea why, but I'm scared if it's just some young bloke training with JT for a couple of hours a day, getting pissed afterwards and not really developing into anything. Are we offering a fuller program/support structure for younger blokes? I can imaging that this is a BIG BIG decision he's made, and he'll be farked if he can't pull it off.
